GENEROUS Joy
create joy
how do we create joy?
Generous Joy partners with a number of non-profit organizations to distribute the items that are donated to us.
We partner with nonprofits in 2 ways. Our first priority is to have a direct benefit to those in need, but some items we receive may be better suited for an indirect benefit:
1) Direct benefit: Organizations with a direct connection to someone need
There are many non-profits that can deliver items directly to someone in need. For example, Generous Joy may deliver...
car seats to a foster care support center, who in turn provides those car seats to foster families in need
personal care items to a women's shelter, who in turn shares those items with its residents
toothbrushes to a mobile dental clinic in an underserved area, who in turn distributes them to patients attending the clinic
school supplies to an after-school program in a low-income neighborhood, who uses those supplies when teaching students
2) Indirect benefit: Organizations that are raising funds for a non-profit in need
There are advocacy groups that host fundraisers to benefit a non-profit in need. For example, Generous Joy may provide items that can be used as...
a raffle or silent auction item in a fundraiser benefiting a non-profit
swag bag filler to help drive participation in a fundraiser that benefits a non-profit.
how do we select our nonprofit partners?
Generous Joy is open to partnering with any non-profit that may have a need we can help meet. We are open to discussing a partnership with any nonprofit that holds a 501(c)(3) status.
do we give items to individuals in need?
We are not able to give directly to a family or individual in need. However, we partner with other nonprofit 501(c)(3) organizations who are better equipped to identify the needs of a community and deliver the items directly to those in need. If you have an exception to discuss, please contact us.
