Our commitment to equity
The barrier to success for our students is not simply about learning to read. There are structural and systemic barriers to their success. We are committed to addressing those, as well as the literacy development of the students we work with."
- Wes Enicks, Executive Director
Literations would like to hear from our volunteers on how we can improve and enhance our Cultural Responsiveness engagement. Please take a few minutes to complete our survey below and share your thoughts and experiences to help the organization determine the next steps as we develop this area of our engagement.
Key to our work with students is understanding how diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging (DEIB) affect educational outcomes and mentoring relationships. On this page you will find a variety of DEIB resources. You will also find information about Literations’ Racial Justice and Equity Committee, which is working to lead DEIB initiatives across the organization.
