I. PROCEDURE IN BORROWING AND LENDING OF PHYSICAL BOOKS IN THE LIBRARY UNDER THE NEW NORMAL
A. ONLINE BORROWING

Students should like and share GJC-College Library, the College Library Official FB Page and A chatbot is available to work all day every day that automate workflows behind the scenes.
Message and tell us the specific books you want to borrow.
Send your complete name and course.
The librarian-in-charge will message you the date and time you will pick up your requested books.
Two (2) books may be borrowed at the same time.
AUTHORIZATION LETTER IS A MUST.
Observe safety protocols upon entry to the school and to the library.
Book cards must be signed under the student’s name and the one who picked up the books. BRING STUDENT’S ID.
Observe due date of returning the books.
Due to the pandemic, the due date will be extended to 2 weeks instead of 1-week duration for the borrower’s convenience.
Borrowing and returning of books is every MONDAY.
There will be a fine of P5.00 per day for unreturned overdue books.
B. PHYSICAL BORROWING
Observe health protocols at the gate – Wear face mask and face shield are a must
Log in at the entrance of the library.
Choose and pick the books to be borrowed.
II. RENEWAL OF BOOKS
Message the librarian through the library’s FB Page (GJC – College Library) if students will renew their books.
The librarian- in- charge will notify students if the books have been renewed.
The student should screenshot the librarian’s reply for documentation.
III. RETURNING OF BOOKS
Message the librarian through the library’s FB Page (GJC – College Library) that you will return the books.
Show the books to the librarian- in- charge and drop the returned books in the designated box. The books will be disinfected for 72 hours to prevent the spread of virus.
The librarian will then get the book cards and put a note of returned.
After three (3) days or 72 hours, the librarian checks and inserts the book cards to the book pocket.
The librarian will message the student if there are concerns in the books returned.
IV. PROCEDURE IN RESEARCHING LIBRARY RESOURCES (Books, journals, vertical files etc. available in the
library) ONLINE.
Message the librarian through the library’s FB Page (GJC – College Library)
Ask/Request the librarians if they can provide materials for their research using the library resources.
The librarians will scan/picture the materials requested by students and send them through FB Page or e-mail.
The librarians will reply ASAP whenever they see your message.
