A warm welcome, GJCians!
We know that many of you are very excited about the coming school year. You finished the last two school years in the confines of your homes. You probably missed going to school, seeing your teachers, meeting new classmates, having fun with friends, and attending school activities. This school year you will be able to experience once again face-to-face learning along with online learning.
Let me welcome each one of you to General de Jesus College and let me thank you for entrusting your education with us. We assure you that we shall provide you only the best learning experience whether face-to-face or virtually.
Here at GJC, we care, so do let us know how we can further assist you. We shall be with you every step of the way as you journey towards the attainment of your dreams.

Message from the Vice - President for Academic Affairs

GJC recognizes the vital role of the library in fulfilling the educational requirements of the students; hence, it continues to be a part of the online learning community even during the pandemic.
Our library now has an official website which the learners can visit anytime for their academic requirements. It is currently subscribed to Odilo, an online international library platform that contains e-books, audiobooks, videos, podcasts, e-magazines and e-journals that can easily be accessed by students using their school-assigned email address. This coming academic year, our library will subscribe to two more online library platforms so the learners have wider access to learning resources even at the confines of their homes.
Our library also has an official FB page that regularly provides updates on the collection of the library and posts announcements regarding our library services.
In addition to access to our online library, our learners can still avail the services of our physical library even during the pandemic when face-to-face interaction is still not allowed. The library staff and its virtual assistant ISKO are always available to answer queries.
So, GJCians, come and visit our virtual library and browse at your heart's content.

As a gateway to knowledge, school libraries play a fundamental role in advancing research and human knowledge. The resources and services it offers create opportunities for learning, provide excellent environment for research, and help shape new ideas and perspectives. While the role of the school library remains constant, its ways of collecting, storing, and accessing information have changed due to the transition to this new learning modality. As we shifted to online learning, our school invested in digital contents to provide students and other library users with continued access to resources previously only available in print. This transformation to digital library will also help students and teachers to actively engage in research. We hope that you will take time to explore our online library database and find it useful in your learning and research endeavors.
