Attendance

It is mandatory to mark your attendance in the Form Tutor Google Classroom before 8.15am. If you fail to mark your attendance, you will be considered absent.

Mobile Phones

A reminder that we have a no mobile phone policy. Students must have their own device to use during school time, and will not be allowed to use a phone- this is for the safety of all students. Remember: switched off and out of sight.

COVID Safety

A reminder that for students opting for Face-to-Face learning, they must follow the safety rules to keep the entire school community safe.

This includes:

  • Wearing a disposable mask that covers the nose and mouth all day

  • Staying 2 meters away from others, including in the corridor and staircase

  • Staying only within their designated ‘bubble’ (area of the school)

  • Not sharing equipment with others

  • No touching of other students

  • Students who are 12 years old and above must have submitted a negative COVID test before coming to school. This must be a PCR test and not a laser test.

Behaviour Compliance

Students those who are found not wearing the mask properly in school will be given a verbal warning in the first instance, then the second time they will be given a warning letter followed by a meeting with the parents. The third time they will be asked to do remote learning.

E-safety tips

How to build digital intelligence?

Promote respectful communication

  • Encourage your child to use the same positive manners and behaviour they would use offline, understanding that others may have different cultures, backgrounds or points of view. If it is not OK to say or do something face to face, it is not OK online.

  • Remind them to avoid responding to negative messages and to tell you or another trusted adult if they receive them. Tell them it is OK to report others who are not being nice.

  • Emphasise the positives. For example, ‘I know what a kind and respectful person you are, and it makes me so proud to see you acting the same way when you're online. You are such a great friend — I can see how much everyone looks up to you at school.’

Online Bundles

If you haven’t purchased the online bundle for your child yet, please do so very quickly. The online bundle gives your child access to learning opportunities such as SAM learning, Read Theory, GCSE Pod etc. The resources have been selected to help your child to extend their learning outside of the classroom, so it is vital that the bundle has been purchased so that your child can have continued access to it.
