Inclusion

As a team we believe in  continuous learning to ensure that we are up-to-date with inclusive research and practice, and this week has seen some fantastic professional development across the school focused on improving inclusion.

Some of our Inclusion Support Teachers from PYP and Secondary attended a course on Friday, for teachers and specialists, focusing on 'Accommodating Deaf & Hard of Hearing through Psycho/Social Technological Interventions'. 

Our Primary SENCo, Niamh O'Donnell, led a session with PYP teachers on Thursday focusing on supporting students sensory needs in the classroom. The Secondary Inclusion Support Teachers delivered a session on 'creating positive relationships in the classroom' to the Learning Support Assistants and Inclusion Teaching Assistants.
