We recognize that many families may not feel comfortable with lower and middle school-aged children riding transit on their own and may opt to choose an alternate way to get to school. If transit is convenient for you, you may opt to accompany your child to school or to sign up for our Transit Buddy program. The Transit Buddy program that will pair responsible 9th-12th grade students with their younger peers. Once the high school Transit Buddies have been selected and trained, we will reach out to families in their neighborhoods to set up meet and greets to provide Lower and Middle School families with more options for getting to school via transit in the mornings, and potentially, getting them home in the afternoons. More information will be shared with families over the summer.
