Library Orientation and Book Care Activities

1. First, listen and watch the story about the "Library Lion" written by Michelle Knudsen.

2. After listening to the story "Library Lion," you should do at least ONE fun activity.

3. Cut and paste 10 things you SHOULD do with your library books and 10 things you SHOULD NOT do with your library books.

3rd through 5th Grade

Library Orientation Activities

1. Listen and watch to the story about "The Librarian of Basra: A True Story from Iraq" written by Jeanette Winter by clicking the play button below!

2. Select six things that you would save, recording this information somewhere where it can be referred to later.

3. ‘If your school was in a similar situation to the library of Basra, what would you save? You have one hour to get the things you want to save to somewhere safe. Talk and share with at least one adult family member.

4. Choose at least three activities to be discussed with at least one adult family member.
