Accounting is a course that is highly recommended for students who are interested in pursuing a college degree in business or accounting. Basic arithmetic skills are used in accounting. Students will learn accounting concepts and procedures that will be helpful in everyday life as well as in career development. In addition to written work, computerized accounting will be emphasized. Students taking this class should have a good concept of basic math functions and good reasoning ability.

This course introduces students to basic marketing concepts through practical and real-world applications. Students will demonstrate their knowledge through hands-on applications and projects. Focus will also be placed on digital and social media marketing strategies. The latest digital marketing trends will be discussed as well as creating a brand presence on various social networks such as Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn

Entrepreneurship focuses on recognizing a business opportunity, starting a business, operating and maintaining a business. Students will be exposed to the development of critical thinking, problem solving, and innovation in this course as they will either be the business owner or individuals working in a competitive job market in the future. Integration of accounting, finance, marketing, business management, legal and economic environments will be developed throughout projects in this course. Working to develop a business plan that includes structuring the organization, financing the organization, and managing information, operations, marketing, and human resources will be a focus in the course. Engaging students in the creation and management of a business and the challenges of being a small business owner will be fulfilled in this course. Entrepreneurship is the third year course in the pathway in the Business Management & Administration Cluster. Students enrolled in this course should have successfully completed Introduction to Business & Technology and Digital Marketing and Accounting.

Cooperative Education is a capstone course designed to assist students in the development of effective skills and attitudes through practical, advanced instruction in school and on the job through cooperative education. Students are released from school for their paid cooperative education work experience and participate in 200 minutes per week of related classroom instruction. Classroom instruction focuses on providing students with job survival skills and career exploration skills related to the job and improving students' abilities to interact positively with others. For skills related to the job, refer to the skill development course sequences, the task list or related occupational skill standards of the desired occupational program.
