Research:
“Evidence suggested that it's harder to catch the virus from soft surfaces (such as fabric) than it is from frequently touched hard surfaces like elevator buttons or door handles.” (WebMD)
On hard surfaces, the virus can last for 48 hours (WebMD)
Precautions:
The bins of donations that are collected will be quarantined for 48 hours before being sold and put on display.
Purel will be set up on a table so people can sanitize their hands before and after touching the clothing.
A sign will recommend that purchased items should be washed before they are worn.
Hope: The clothes will be clean when collected, and extra clean before they are worn.
