1) Why start a thrift store?
2) How will I publicize the thrift store and make it well known so I can gather enough donations to make enough money to donate to cancer research?
3) Who will I reach out to about influencing Grace parents to donate?
4) Because I would like the Grace thrift store to continue after I graduate at Grace, should I make it a club? What steps do I need to take to make it into a club?
(The Noun Project)
1) The reason why I am starting a non-profit thrift store is that thrifting is very popular among teenagers, is sustainable and good for the planet, and could raise money for a good cause, such as cancer research.
2) I will send out an email to the school after summer to announce the Grace non-profit thrift store. I hosted a workshop on Thursday, 4/15, from 11:00 - 11:30 during the community week to explain why thrifting is important. At this workshop, I introduced Fast Fashion and my non-profit thrift store, and I asked anyone who is interested in volunteering to reach out to me via email.
3) I have met with Ms. Chaloner, Mr. Todd, Mr. Mahabir, and Ms. Archer-Buckmire so far, and Ms. Chaloner told me that she will support all my decisions for the non-profit thrift store. Ms. Archer-Buckmire also offered to assist me and help me in any way I need. She will help me reach out to parents and publicize the thrift store.
4) To start off, I do not think I will make the thrift store a club. However, after the first opening of the thrift store, if it is successful, I may decide to make it a club so it continues after I graduate from Grace.
