In comparison to Mexico, New York has a less flexible health care system all around no matter private or public. Private health insurance is managed and supervised by private insurance companies. New York State does not have any involvement in private health insurance. Anyone is able to get private health insurance but it can be very expensive. Some people can afford to get financial help but depending on income, people’s needs will not always be met. Parents who are Immigrants and are undocumented are able to receive private insurance from a health insurance company directly depending on their situation. When kids are young, parents have a higher tendency to take their children to see their private pediatric doctor for common ailments. These include sore throats, ear pain, Urinary Tract Infection, skin infection, bronchitis, common cold, bacterial sinusitis, and a cough. Unlike Mexico, the private health care system in New York is far less exclusive. Many people decide to spend the extra money to have a highly educated pediatric doctor. Alternative medicines like herbs and other natural resources are not as common in the United States as they are in Mexico. New York especially is very dependent on antibiotics and over the counter prescriptions. Science and chemicals are favored in places like New York because lots of people believe since prescription drugs can be costly, they will work better. Money is seen as the way to cure health problems. Antibiotics cost an average of 10$ depending on the type. Doctors with Private Practices mainly require pre scheduled appointments in order to maintain order.
