For my project, multiple mentors helped me along the way. My photography teacher at the program helped me to take succesful and compelling urban photography. My IP10 advisor provoked useful questions about my project, and my parents engaged my in conversation. Through their suggestions, I have shaped my project from a vague idea about "wanting to do something with graffiti", to something specific and tangible. Both of my interviewees provided interesting ideas that helped guide me along the process. One of my steps along the path to completing my project was engaging the people around me on the subject, largely within the community of graffiti artists in New York. They provided their own insights and also served to help me.Â
