To research my project, I thought it would be a good idea to go to museums and study the techniques of masters. I went to the MoMA and the Whitney.

I took pictures of pieces that stood out to me in terms of composition and technique. I observed the elements of the pieces and learned from them, implementing the techiques into my own artwork for the project. 

Since I have rarely worked with charcoal an oil pastels, I decided to choose a few artworks made in those mediums to study and copy for practice.
