Natalie Taylor (she/her), Volunteer Coordinator
Natalie is originally from Indiana, and she has been in Salt Lake City since 2022. She grew up visiting family in Utah, and always knew she wanted to live here someday. Natalie loves being able to be in a nice size city, and still be 20 minutes away from incredible nature! She likes to spend her time reading, being outside, or indoor climbing. She loves learning about fun wildlife facts, so tell her about your favorite animals!
Natalie has been with NHMU since July 2022. As the Volunteer Coordinator, she is the first point of contact for volunteers. She handles recruiting and on-boarding new volunteers, scheduling volunteers for special events, and everything from getting you your earned guest passes to helping you branch out into new areas of the Museum. You'll get frequent emails from her, because she wants to keep you up to date on what's happening at NHMU! Don't hesitate to reach out for anything you need - Natalie is here for you!

Nichelle O'Saurus (she/her), Community Programs Manager
Nichelle is originally from the east coast, but has been in Salt Lake City since 2015. Her education is in evolutionary anthropology, so feel free to ask her any questions you have about her favorite spot in the Museum, the hominin wall in the Life Gallery! When she's not working, Nichelle is most likely hanging out with her 2 dogs and/or her family. She's super into holidays, always down for game night, and loves going to the movies.
She's been with NHMU since September, 2015. As the Community Programs Manager, she oversees the big-picture coordination and planning for the Volunteer Program - things like planning volunteer recognition programs, building community partnerships for volunteer recruitment, and training NHMU staff on working with volunteers. Nichelle also oversees the Museum's state-wide Community Outreach programming! You can usually find her at her desk in the Administration Offices, if she's not out chatting with volunteers or community partners. She's happy to help you with any issues you're having as a volunteer, so feel free to email, call, or come see her any time. And yes, her last name really is O'Saurus.

Geryon Fuller (they/he/she)*, Community Programs Assistant
Geryon was born & raised in Park City, attended the University of Utah, and lived in New Orleans for a year before returning to Utah for their health & to figure out what they want to do when they grow up! His academic background is in anthropology, history, and Native American studies; he's planning to go to grad school for public history. In her spare time, Geryon likes to forage for and make paints! They taught themselves watercolors after a severe brain injury in 2018.
Geryon has been part of the Community Programs team since August 2022. As the Community Programs Assistant, he's available to help with any of the day-to-day things that may come up for you. Need to pick up guest passes? Need a new t-shirt? Need to correct something on your service record? Geryon can help! She also gets to spend time supporting the Community Outreach team. Geryon is VERY invested in DEAI (Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Inclusion) work and decolonizing the Museum— if you have ideas about how to make the Volunteer Program more accessible, diverse, and/or equitable, they want to hear them!
