Trained in the exhibit evaluation and data collection protocols, Visitor Studies volunteers gather valuable feedback from guests, helping NHMU to ensure that it is successfully providing opportunities for guests to create lasting impressions of both natural history and current scientific research.
Visitor Studies and Evaluation volunteers assist with visitor studies data collection on an as-needed basis, using established methods for museum audience research. Training is provided on methodology. Evaluations typically occur for each special exhibition that the Museum hosts, and may occur for other special exhibits or experiences that happen at NHMU.

Each Visitor Studies and Evaluation project includes 2 hours of training to learn data collection methods.

1 to 2 four-hour shifts per week through each project; specific shift times are flexible.
