Geology Collection Assistant volunteers are responsible for a variety of tasks that include: inventory, curation, photography, storage and preparation of geological specimens in the collection area. Using their training and attention to detail, volunteers safely preserve and record geological specimens, and support ongoing research of the natural world.
Training Required:
All new Geology Collection Assistant volunteers receive on-the-job training.
Shift times:
We will determine a set schedule based on the availability of the volunteer and the supervisor, but we request that in the beginning the work take place within the normal work week.
Time Commitment: Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum of 6 months. More is always appreciated!
Age Requirement: 18 years or older
