In addition to faculty grading and reporting of student growth, every semester, each student partners with their advisor to develop their student-led conference with their parents. The conference serves as an opportunity for students to demonstrate their understanding of their own approach to learning, and students develop a web-based portfolio of work and presentation of evidence of growth from the previous semester. The advisor helps to facilitate the conversation and to support the student through this process. The conference also serves as an opportunity for students, families, and advisors to reflect on the Upper School curriculum and programs, and the school uses this feedback to constantly revise and expand its program.
