Welcome to Kindergarten at Carman!
The PreK & Kindergarten years are such a special time for our students and their families. It is a privilege and responsibility to build a strong foundation that will enable students to be successful, not just academically, but spiritually and socially as well. Please visit Carman's School Calendar page to subscribe to our calendar!
As a hybrid forest kindergarten, we provide a unique educational experience--providing a rigorous academic program in a traditional classroom setting and an immersive forest kindergarten program of environmental education in our beautiful outdoor classroom. To learn more about our hybrid program, visit our Curricula page.
We are passionate about creating a warm, joyful, and supportive classroom environment where students not only master academic standards, but also learn empathy and respect for others based on the tenets of Christ-like behavior. Our focus on Social-Emotional Learning and Exectuive Function Skills is key to students' future academic and social success.
From a very early age, it is critical for students to understand that they can grow, change, and learn from mistakes–we strive to instill the values of optimism, empathy, flexibility, resilience, and persistence which will not only help our students become successful in school, but successful in life!
We are committed to identifying the needs and interests of students so that we can differentiate instruction to provide each student with the support they need to meet their goals.
Ministering to our students and their families is an obligation that we take seriously and enjoy tremendously. We look forward to the opportunity provide each student with a caring, academically rigorous, Christ-centered kindergarten experience where they will grow and develop their talents and gifts.
