Mitsuko Martinez serves as Director of Bands at Parkview Middle School. She conducts 6th Grade Beginning Band, 7th Grade Intermediate Band, and 8th Grade Advanced Band as well as assists with the Jeffersonville High School Marching Band. Previously, she was the Associate Band Director at Jeffersonville High School, where she taught for four years. She also has extensive experience teaching band in Louisville, Kentucky, Holyoke, Colorado, and Chicago, Illinois. She is professionally affiliated with the National Association for Music Education, Indiana State Teachers Association, the Indiana Bandmasters Association, and currently serves on the Composition Commission Project for the 2022/23 Indiana Jr. All-State Band. Mrs. Martinez earned her Bachelor's of Music degree in music education from Elmhurst University, and her Master's of Music in Wind Band Pedagogy from the University of Louisville.
