About Me

Welcome to the 2019-2020 school year! My name is Mrs. Cao and I am very excited to be a part of yet another great year here at EPIC! This school year marks my 6th year as a member of the Gateway Community Charters family. I started as a Kindergarten teacher in 2013, back when EPIC was known as CCCS-West Sacramento. I went on to teach 3rd grade for four wonderful years and enjoyed every moment of working with the wonderful EPIC families. This year I was presented with the opportunity to serve our community in a different capacity as the Vice Principal and PYP Coordinator. I am beyond honored to be given this opportunity and I plan to work hard to help EPIC continue on a path of excellence! As the PYP Coordinator it is my responsibility to work alongside all staff to ensure that our PYP Program continues to grow and provide all scholars with an amazing internationally focused and inquiry based education. As the school Vice Principal it is also my privilege to support all EPIC teachers and students in their educational practices.
