Welcome

We would like to extend a very warm welcome to you and congratulations for gaining a place on one of our degree courses.  

Northbrook/ Brighton Metropolitan College has a long history and experience of delivering higher education, and has consistently attracted positive feedback from internal and external reviews. The College provides higher Education programmes that blend academic and industry related learning, and aim to equip you with the knowledge and skills to pursue your career and/or further study.

The college works with three awarding body’s, the University of Brighton, University of the Arts London and Pearson. This means that your degree is validated by one of these partners.  In addition to using the facilities at the College, the Universities will also support you through its Students’ Union and quality systems. You are also bound by the same regulations as students of that University. In particular, the examination and assessment of your course is governed by your validating University’s Regulations.  The College will support you through the different stages of your course and for further advice and guidance please contact your Course leader.

Jude Woodward: Head of Creative Industries at Northbrook College

Welcome to the Creative Industries at West Durrington Campus, Northbrook College.

All our UAL validated creative degrees are based on this campus and you are now part of our vibrant and inspiring community of artists, designers, makers, performers, actors, dancers, singers, musicians, producers and creators.

In your years with us you will have access to exceptional facilities so please make full use of all that is on offer to you. We look forward to being part of your creative professional journey, seeing (and hearing) what you have to contribute to our joint futures.

Neil Ward: Motorsports

I would like to extend a very warm welcome to you and congratulations for gaining a place on one of our degree courses at Shoreham Campus, Northbrook College.

Northbrook College has a long history and experience of delivering Higher Education and has consistently attracted positive feedback from both internal and external reviews. The College provides Higher Education programmes that blend academic and industry related learning and aim to equip you with the knowledge and skills to pursue your career and/or further study. You will be involved with the College motorsport program, including setting up our Formula Renault for track day testing, and working on our Peugeot 107 as it competes in the BRSCC Nankang Tyre City Car Cup Championship, with race events at Snetterton, Cadwell Park, Anglesey and Silverstone race circuits amongst others.

The College works with the University of Brighton awarding body. This means that your degree is validated by the University of Brighton.  In addition to using the facilities at Northbrook College, Brighton University will also support you through its Students’ Union and quality systems. You are also bound by the same regulations as students of your validating University. In particular, the examination and assessment of your course is governed by Brighton University’s Regulations (GEAR).

Maria Edney: HNC Computing

We would like to welcome you to Brighton MET and congratulate you on gaining a place on our Higher National Certificate in Computing.

Our course is endorsed by the awarding body Pearson. The qualification is internationally recognised. This year your tutors will be working with you to help you develop excellent technical skills, whilst improving your employability skills.  These skills are extremely important for a successful career in the IT industry. We hope that you will enjoy your time here and achieve academic excellence.

Paul Lansdowne: HNC General Engineering
