We have introduced TPACK several times before as a simple framework to consider when planning instruction. The best instruction lies at the intersection of the teacher's content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, and technology knowledge. In other words, we should always start with "what" we teach, then consider "how" to teach it, and finally determine what technology tool, if any, would help teach it.
Way back in 2002, the Partnership for 21st Century Learning identified four skills necessary for learning and workforce development in our century. These skills should be considered with developing instruction because they are most prevalent across career paths to make student globally ready.
