Mishra and Koehler's Research, Video
We have introduced TPACK several times before as a simple framework to consider when planning instruction. The best instruction lies at the intersection of the teacher's content knowledge, pedagogical knowledge, and technology knowledge. In other words, we should always start with "what" we teach, then consider "how" to teach it, and finally determine what technology tool, if any, would help teach it.
Way back in 2002, the Partnership for 21st Century Learning identified four skills necessary for learning and workforce development in our century. These skills should be considered with developing instruction because they are most prevalent across career paths to make student globally ready.
Collaboration
Communication
Critical Thinking
Creativity.
DLFs can help you design and implement lessons with built-in critical thinking, engagement, student collaboration and communication, creation, gamification
...and everything else related to digital instruction!
Need Content credit? Consider working with your DLF through a coaching cycle where we will identify your specific need, plan, co-teach, and then implement a new strategy or tool together.
All learning plans for priority standards have been revised to exclude iXL and iReady. In their place we have added greater emphasis on creative tools and reading responses. Remember that all of the learning plans are made using a uniform format and set of tools. However, they are intended to be edited to add or remove resources on based on your preferences and those analog tools available to you. Feel free to use our learning plans as a started place.
