The monthly focus of ‘Student Collaboration’ aims to enhance peer interaction and learning in group settings by giving students opportunities to practice generating, expressing, and communicating using academic language and digital platforms.
Elementary:
-During station rotations, the teacher has designed an activity where students collaborate with their peers to generate a demonstration of learning like a shared graphic organizer.
Secondary:
-Teachers create a learning opportunity for students to work in peer groups to develop a solution to a real world issue connected to their content and communicate that solution through a digital poster.
-Teachers use technology to:
Use collaborative tools to expand students’ learning experiences
Foster independent and collaborative learning in group settings

Express ideas & generate learning artifacts
Communicate with digital platforms appropriate to the audience
Students reflect on how to build positive relationships, avoid risky online talk, and understand why some topics and conversations can best lend themselves to certain mediums.
