Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA)

The FASFA is the form that you must fill out if you want to be eligible to receive any federal aid to assist in paying for college. To learn more, watch the video below:

​To complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), you will need:Your Social Security Number. Your Alien Registration Number (if you are not a U.S. citizen) Your federal income tax returns, W-2s, and other records of money earned. If you are a male who is turning 18, or is already 18 or older, you must register for in the Selective Service System by the time you turn 25 to be eligible for any federal student aid. It is required by law. Get more information here: https://www.sss.gov/

Supported by the Eccles Foundation this award up to $5000, with other scholarships available, recognizes young people for their outstanding humanitarian service - Local service must be a central focus in the application. Apply for more information HERE.


Jiffy Lube “What Drives You? | Due March 

Open to all high school students that have a valid driver’s license; a scholarship is also available for students in drivers ed. 500 word essay. $6500 Has been awarded to a Panguitch High School student in the past! Find out information HERE.

ACLU Scholarship  | Due March 15

2019 Activist Scholarship Program offering 4 scholarships of $3,500 each, totaling $14,000 in monies awarded. Must have a GPA of 3.0 check out the application at www.acluutah.org


*JUNIORS* USU Engineering State | Due March 

Mid June on the USU campus in Logan. This is not a scholarship but it is an event for students who are interested in math, science and/or engineering.  Students should be a junior and have at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA.  For an application and information go to http://engineering.usu.edu/htm/engineering-state-2015. or click HERE


Utah Jump$tart Coalition Scholarship | Due March

T. H. Bell (TIL) Teaching Incentive Loan | Due March  24

For an application and information go to https://www.schools.utah.gov/curr/educatoreffectiveness?mid=1050&aid=3  The TIL is funded by the Utah State Legislature. This loan will pay for your school then the amount is forgiven if you teach in a Utah public school. The application is also available HERE.


TIL recipients are required to pursue an educator preparation program, obtain educator licensing, and then teach in Utah public schools for a period equal to the time they received assistance. To qualify for a Utah Educator License, a recipient must receive a cleared background/fingerprint check at the time of licensing and have a visa or citizenship status that will allow the recipient to be employed in the United States.  The TIL consists of a waiver (of tuition and fees at the Utah public institutions and $995.00 per semester at private institutions) to be used for a period not exceeding 8 semesters. The program is jointly administered by the Utah State Board of Education (USOE) and the State Board of Regents.


*JUNIORS* SUU Governor's Honors Academy Due March 

Current high school juniors are welcome to apply. The cost of the Academy is $1000 for all expenses of the 9 day Academy. Selected participants will receive a sponsorship packet, detailing how to raise money towards their $1000 fee (monthly payments may also be arranged). Those participants who are selected and attend the entire Academy will receive 6 college credits and a 4-year scholarship to Southern Utah University.  For an application and information go to http://www.suu.edu/prostu/gha/. LifeLine For Youth Due March 31

 Organization to raise awareness about issues related to suicide, substance abuse, or bullying. $1000 scholarship. The instructions for applying to the scholarship are simple and can be found HERE

Garkane Energy Scholarship | Due April 3

YCC Youth Conservation Corp Employment | Due April

Working with federal government on trail and project crews open to youth 15-18 years of age. Application is due to the counselor on April 25th. Find the English Application HERE and the Spanish Application HERE.


Rolling on the Floor Laughing Scholarship | Elevate Pest Control | Due April

Elevate Pest Control in Utah is offering a $750 scholarship for 2017. The scholarship will be given to a graduating senior or college freshman from Utah. There are more details about the scholarship and its qualifications in the link HERE.


Ayn Rand Essay Contest | Due April

Can apply as a JUNIOR or SENIOR. Essay Contest between 800-1600 words on an Ayn Rand novel. Find out more by signing up through their website HERE.


Bryce Canyon City Scholarship | Due April 

Scholarship available to students within the district.  Application must arrive at the Bryce Canyon City Office prior to due date. Download the application HERE.


South West Applied Technology Scholarship | Due April   

Scholarships for PHS, BVHS & EHS.  For the application and information go to HERE.


South Central Summer Internship Program | Due April 

For student enrolled in high school, a paid internship, at $10 per hour for a warehouse tech, at a great local company. Find the info HERE and the application HERE


South West Applied Technology Scholarship | Due April   

Three scholarships reserved for PHS, BVHS & EHS.  The scholarships will be used by other schools if we don't take them.  For the application and information go to HERE.


Garfield Memorial Hospital Scholarship | Due April 

Scholarship for students who are pursuing a degree in a health care related field.  There is an application attached for high school seniors. The nursing scholarship can be found HERE.


Southern Utah Junior Livestock Show Scholarship | Due April 

Students must have shown 3 of the last 5 years to be eligible.  For the application and information click HERE.


Utah Association of Conservation Districts Zone 5 Scholarship | Due April 30

The recipient will be a high school senior living in Beaver, Iron, Washington, Kane or Garfield County, who is pursuing a degree in an agriculture or natural resource science field.
