Homework Policy
Homework Policy
Students will have homework daily. When they arrive to class they should check their homework with the answers that will be posted in the room. Students should make corrections on any problems they had incorrect.
Once a week students will take a homework check. Students will be asked to transfer one problem from each assignment to their homework check. During first semester students will be told what day this will be happening. During second semester students need to be ready for a homework check every day. By the time the work is collected all corrections should have been made. No late work will be collected, and students will not be allowed to make corrections after the homework check is completed.
Each problem will be graded for accuracy on a 5 point scale.
1: Student has only the correct answer written down
2: Student attempted parts of the problem with work and correct answers or answered all parts, showed work, but no correct answers.
3: Student attempted more than half the problem with work and correct answers or answered all parts, showed work with one or two incorrect answers.
4: Student answered all parts of the problem, showed work, but made minor mistakes on one part
5: Student answered all parts of the problem correctly, and showed all work
Don't forget that homework is due the following day to the one that it is assigned!
