IEP Implementation - Progress Monitoring
Frequently Asked Questions
Progress monitoring is the process of utilizing data to track a student's advancement towards their annual IEP goals.
Progress is typically monitored at regular intervals, such as weekly, biweekly, or monthly, depending on the IEP.
Progress monitoring data may include test scores, work samples, teacher observations, and performance on specific IEP objectives.
You will receive progress reports at specified intervals, coinciding with report cards, and during parent teacher conferences.
If sufficient progress is not being made, the IEP team may revise goals, services, or stratgies to better support your child. IEP goals can be modified at any time if progress data suggests that changes are needed.
