Central Park Public School
School Improvement Plan for Student Achievement
At Central Park, our theory of action has been carefully crafted through an evolutionary process that has considered input from all stakeholders. Our theory of action drives the professional development that we engage in and it is directly tied to the board's multi-year strategic plan and the director's action plan. Central Park's Leadership Team, through an iterative process, examines and monitors the direction of our actions in response to the needs of our students and families. Our focus this school year will be to use an intentional social justice lens to address our SIPSA, particularly in the areas of math, anti-black racism and indigenous education.
If… we create conditions for learning that elevate student voice,
Then… our students will:
have a sense of belonging and feel safe to positively contribute to local and global communities.
find a greater purpose in their learning and be empowered to take risks and explore new ideas.
have the ability to think creatively and critically, apply and communicate their understanding.
Global Competencies are embedded in our school's Theory of Action to support the development of well rounded socially conscious students .
