Trips

The trips at UWCSEA East have run with International Schools Theatre Association (ISTA) to countries throughout Asia (Middle School and High School) and with National Institute of Dramatic Art (NIDA) to Sydney (High School) and Melbourne (Middle School). We believe that this extension of learning outside of the school walls enables our students to engage in a deeper level of understanding about the discipline whilst working with adults and children away from the school.

The skills they build by working with ensemble, unpacking an audition monologue, exploring the Viewpoints system and working with developing their voice and breath control, impact enormously their toolbox of resources and processes for when they are back in the studio.

We also create opportunities to learn about the arts by being a spectator in regular theatre trips throughout the year supporting our local theatre companies as well as global festival line ups.
