Task.
You will use your printed exhibition poster to showcase your work. You will then each take turns to peer assess and provide feedback for one another's work.
Functionality vs Originality
On the post-it note beneath/next to somebody else's poster, you will mark an 'X' where you feel their design sits against Functionality (how well it works) v originality (how innovate/unique it is).
Sometimes, we have a design that works great but isn't that original. Similarly, we can have innovative ideas that may not work. Balancing both can be difficult.
Guidance for Feedback.
Be Specific
→ Say what works well or what could be better.
“The colour is eye-catching, but the button is hard to press.”
Balance Positives + Improvements
→ Start with something good before suggesting a change.
Focus on the Work, Not the Person
→ Talk about the design, not the designer.
Give Suggestions
→ Offer ideas for improvement, not just problems.
Be Respectful & Clear
→ Use kind, simple language that helps, not hurts.
