PREVENT

On this page you will learn about PREVENT, Radicalisation, Extremism and Terrorism. You will develop knowledge on why it is important for you to learn about to support wider society and in the workplace. You will also complete your online PREVENT induction and to information on where to go if you need more help and support. 


What is Prevent?

Prevent is part of the Government counter-terrorism strategy. It's designed to tackle the problem of terrorism at its roots, preventing people from supporting terrorism or becoming terrorists themselves. It is about supporting individuals who are at risk of radicalisation away from becoming terrorists, or supporting terrorism. 


What are the British Values?

Living in Modern Britain it is important to uphold the British Values, We see British Values as underpinning what it is to be a citizen in a modern and diverse Britain. They allow us to create environments free from discrimination, intolerance and hate. Creating this environment is important within the workplace for everyone to feel safe whilst at work and in the community. These are the standards of behaviour that all British people are expected to respect and follow, including democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty, mutual respect, tolerance of those of different faiths and beliefs.

NOTICE: You notice a change or are concerned about a particular behaviour someone's showing, it’s that feeling you have when something isn’t quite right.
