CV writing, tips, best practices and further support

Employers will receive many CVs for one job role, therefore it is important to have an effective and well written CV that stands out to secure you an interview. This is because it's time consuming for employers to reach out to every candidate and therefore will filter out individuals based on their CV, even if you have excellent skills and qualities for the role, if your CV doesn't stand out you risk the chance of it not even being read.

Some Key tips:

  • Select an appropriate and clear design (this depends on the industry and role)

  • Tailor your CV to the role you are applying for

  • Show of your key skills and provide examples of how you have demonstrated these

  • Keep your CV to Two pages maximum
