When you see this icon, it means there is a task that you have to complete.
On this site you will find pages and links on the menu on the left side for you to work through. You will start off with your online induction.
When you first use the course, you should use the Next page button at the bottom of each page to work through the course. However, you can come back to this course at any time to revise and you can then use the side menu to quickly jump to a section you want to revise. You will need to complete tasks on some of the pages.
You will then find information and links which takes you to a suit of online resources to support your Continued Professional Development. This is a free program called Your Game Plan.
You will have a structure to work through of courses which have been chosen to support your personal and professional development but please feel free to complete as many as you like. These short courses are also CDP recognised which means they look great on your CV! You can also create a CV easily by using the CV Wizard.
The courses have been mapped to Skills Builder and ePASS so you can see what skills you are developing as you complete the courses.
Skills Builder
Skills Builder have developed a frame work which focus on 8 essential skills. These skills unlock learning in the classroom, boosting academic outcomes, perseverance and self belief. They halve the likelihood of being out of work, and increase earnings across a lifetime. They even boost wellbeing and life satisfaction.
ePASS
Suffolk New College have developed their ePASS system for you to develop 5 core essential employability skills. Each of these Core skills have a set of sub skills supporting them. The courses from YGP will help you to develop these core employability skills.
