You will need to know a few things:
Your College Username is your student number which is in the format: stu-999999
Your College Password is the same password you use to get onto a PC in the college.
Your Google Apps Email Address is in the format: stu-999999@gapps.suffolk.ac.uk
Note: You will need to make sure you know your password for your phone account to download apps.

Go to http://meet.google.com
You will be logged in straight away
Go to http://meet.google.com
Enter your Google Apps Email Address
On the next screen enter your College Username and College Password
If you have been provided with a link to access the meeting, simply click on the link and you will be taken straight to the meeting's "Getting Ready" page. On this page you can use the different icons to get set up before you enter the meeting.

Change your background
Once you are happy with your settings, you can join the meeting by pressing the Join now button.
You can get the Google Meet app on your mobile device by going to:
Apple App Store - iPhone or iPad
Google Play Store - Android phone or tablet
Click on each heading below to open the drop-down text and ensure your browser is set up to allow you to change your background:
Use a modern browser
Google Chrome is the recommended browser for Google Meet. Download Google Chrome here.
Update your browser to the latest version
Click the 3 dots at the top right
Hover over Help
Click About Google Chrome
You should see
Turn on hardware acceleration
Click the 3 dots icon at the top right
Click Settings
On the left menu, click the Advanced drop down
Click the toggle button on for "Use hardware acceleration when available"
Before entering the meeting
When you first enter the meeting. Look for the button at the bottom right of the camera image. Clicking this will allow you to choose your background.
I don't see the button
Follow the steps above. If you are using the up-to-date Google Chrome and have hardware acceleration on then try restarting your browser.
During the meeting
Click the 3 dots at the bottom right, then click Change Background
