Multi-Factor Authentication

MFA is being enabled for all student accounts and will be required to access the college’s Microsoft 365 hosted websites and services as well as Google Workspace.

Task 1: Set up Microsoft:

Please read the Student Multi-Factor Authentication Guide to find out how to set this up.

Note: You must do this first as you will need Microsoft Authenticator installed in order to do task 2.

If you don’t have a mobile phone or cannot access your phone to do MFA, please follow the steps below to get some temporary access codes:

• Go to see a member of the LRC helpdesk team in person

• Present your ID card to provide proof of identity, and ask for some MFA codes to be created – specify if you need codes for Microsoft, Google or both

• The LRC staff member will send an email to request that codes are created

• The MFA codes will be created and emailed to your personal email address

• It may take 5-10 minutes for the codes to be created and emailed to you so please allow some time
