BIG BUDDY MENTORING PROGRAM

The Big Buddy Program of the Edgar School District was organized for the purpose of providing opportunities for PreK-8 students to develop social skills, self-esteem, confidence, communication skills, and/or academic skills through a one-to-one relationship with a high school companion/Big Buddy.

The Edgar Big Buddy Program believes that the lives of children can be improved through on-going relations with caring mentors/Big Buddies.

BEHIND EVERY SUCCESSFUL PERSON IS A MENTOR!

*Big and Little Buddies meet every Friday from 9:30am-10:10am in the cafeteria. This program is supervised by Big Buddy Coordinating Staff.

*4K meets from 2:00pm-2:30pm every Friday

WHAT CAN A Big Buddy AND Little Buddy DO TOGETHER?

On Fridays when there is not an assigned activity, Big Buddies and Little Buddies are able to choose from a variety of activities set out for them to use. These activities include items such as games, crafts, tactile building toys, and other items that get the Big and Little Buddies interacting.

The first Friday of every month there is a special whole group activity planned.
