High School Art

Course Objective: Students will develop foundational visual art skills by exploring a variety of artistic mediums—including drawing, painting, ceramics, printmaking, and digital tools—while practicing essential techniques and creative problem-solving strategies. Through exposure to diverse artists, cultures, and key movements in art history, students will build awareness of how art reflects human experience. Throughout the course, students will document their creative process and finished works in a digital portfolio and will craft thoughtful artist statements that communicate intent, technique, and personal growth.
