SUMMER SCHOOL 2024☀️ 

EDGAR SCHOOL DISTRICT SUMMER SCHOOL 2024:

Parents,

It is time to start thinking about summer school!  Summer School will run for five weeks from June 17-July 18, four days a week (Monday-Thursday).  Swimming will be offered for 2 two-week sessions and the first two sessions start the week prior to regular summer school starting.  Swimming session one and two run June 10-June 20 and swimming sessions three and four run June 24-July 3.   All sessions run 4 days a week (Monday-Thursday).  

We will continue to post all of our summer school information on this online site!  Please check out the tabs at the top that have all of the information needed to guide you in signing your child up for Edgar's summer school!  

All classes offered for each of the levels with descriptions (elementary, middle school and high school) are listed above.  The Course Summary tab gives you a quick look at all of the offerings 4K-12.  Please click on the REGISTRATION tab on the far right to register your child for summer school.  You can only register one child at a time.  You will receive an email notification of the classes you signed up for.  Once a class is full we will contact you to make another selection.  

REGISTRATION IS OPEN STARTING MONDAY, APRIL 15th AND CLOSES ON MONDAY, MAY 6th.  Breakfast and lunch will be available for students to purchase this summer.  If you are free or reduced lunch during the school year, this will also apply for summer school.  If you need to update your application please click on the tab above or ask for an application from either the elementary or high school office.  

Please note the following safety precautions we will have in place for our summer school:

• • all students will go right to their summer school classes instead of waiting outside or in the cafeteria

  • there will be no large group gatherings or assemblies 

  • there will be no whole group recess as each class will schedule a time for their own recess

  • we ask that all children and adults who are sick with symptoms (fever, cough, etc.) to stay home

  • we ask that no parents be in the school building

  • we ask that parents wait outside at noon to pick up their students and teachers will bring their classes outside for pick up to avoid crowded hallways

  • hand washing will be highly encouraged throughout the morning

Please note the dates/times for summer school:

DATES:  June 17-July 18 (no school on Thursday,  July 4th)

DAYS:  Monday-Thursday

TIMES:  A.M. sessions 8:00-12:00 (8:00-10:00, 10:00-12:00 or 8:00-12:00).  There are NO P.M. sessions this summer.

LOCATION:  Edgar School District

MEALS:  breakfast and lunch will be offered daily for students to purchase (free or reduced if you qualify for free or reduced lunch)
