FIFTH GRADE
In fifth grade, students can choose between three different music classes. During the first few months of school, each child will have the opportunity to "sample" each music before choosing a class to participate in for the remainder of the school year. If the student has the desire to change music specials, they will have the opportunity to do so at the start of 6th grade.
GENERAL MUSIC
In general music, students will be learning music terminology, music history, to play the ukulele, and world music. There will be no after school concerts.

BAND
Students who are interested in playing an instrument should join band. The instruments for fifth grade are: flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, and percussion. There will be after school concerts.
Mr. Hann teaches band.
CHOIR
Students who enjoy singing should join choir. Students will learn solfege, proper singing technique and sing a variety of songs from different musical eras. There will be after school concerts.
Mrs. Knight teaches choir.
