Besides the permanent free field and down-hole instrumentation in EuroSeistest, the Research Unit of SDGEE has a long experience in the permanent and temporary instrumentation of buildings to study the real response of structures to ambient, weak, and strong ground motions (structural health monitoring) and to update the initial “as designed” structural models to evaluate building specific seismic fragility curves and vulnerability models.
