International Collaborations

SDGEE has established numerous scientific and research collaborations with universities and institutes worldwide, including in UK, Germany, Switzerland, Japan, Turkey, Norway, North Macedonia, Romania, Italy, France, and China. Among these, a particularly close and productive partnership has been formed with Tongji University in China, focusing on disaster prevention and the resilience of underground infrastructure. In collaboration with Professors Haitao Yu and  Zhang Dongmei research groups, SDGEE has advanced pioneering research on the dynamic response and seismic resilience of shield tunnels, co-developed international academic platforms such as the International Center for Resilient Infrastructure (ICRI), and co-organized high-profile conferences and journal special issues. This long-term collaboration has also fostered joint scientific publications, talent exchanges, joint PhD, and international project cooperation, contributing significantly to global knowledge in underground structures engineering and seismic safety.
