We offer tailored vulnerability and risk assessment for individual buildings, infrastructures (road networks, bridges, tunnels, pipelines), critical facilities (schools, hospitals), and geotechnical systems (slopes, embankments, quay walls) with different levels of accuracy, providing detailed insights into their structural seismic vulnerability, functionality, and safety.
The Research Unit of SDGEE has long experience in the empirical and analytical development of fragility curves for different hazards (earthquakes, landslides, liquefaction, tsunami) and other types of buildings (RC, masonry, and steel buildings), infrastructures, and geotechnical systems, considering site effects and Soil-Structure-Interaction. It has also developed unique methodologies and tools for the risk assessment of complex systems and networks, considering inter- and intra-dependencies among components of the same systems and between different interacting systems.
Shift the existing fragility curves for fixed-base structures by multiplying the median or standard deviation value for each damage state with a fragility modifier based on the knowledge of the soil class where the building is located.
