Our Project Team and Faculty
Our faculty includes scholars of the auto experience and preservationists of automobile history. They have decades of experience in teaching this history and telling these stories to students and teachers. Sessions will be led by historic car owners, museum personnel, and authors who have broadened the knowledge of thousands of students over the past four decades. Our scholars are also enthusiasts and local historians who will open doors to unique experiences for educators.
Workshop facilitators Ronald V. Morris, Denise Shockley, Laurel Marion, and Suzanne Stanis have a great deal of combined experience in working with teachers. For more on the faculty and staff associated with this workshop, please visit our project team and faculty pages.
The Democratization of the Automobile Industry: Construction, Culture, and Preservation workshop has been made possible in part by a major grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and is being hosted by Ball State University and Gallia-Vinton Educational Service Center. Any views, findings, conclusions, or recommendations expressed in this workshop, do not necessarily represent those of the National Endowment for the Humanities.
