Dear Gallaudet University and Clerc Center community,
As a reminder, Workday is coming to Gallaudet and Clerc Center for HR and Finance on Monday, September 26, 2022! We mentioned in our August Drive to Go Live newsletter that we need your help with cutover – which is the period of transition as we scale down PeopleSoft HR and Finance and scale up Workday. Please note, PeopleSoft Campus Solutions will continue to be in use.
During the cutover period, there will be some “freeze dates” that all employees need to be aware of for transactions in Peoplesoft to allow for a smooth transition to Workday.
Benefits Elections:
· Due by 9/7/2022 at 5:00 PM EST:
o Any changes or updates to your benefits need to be submitted by 9/7/2022 to go into effect and carry over into Workday.
o If you are a new employee, you must complete your benefits selection by the deadline for your benefits to take effect. Otherwise, you would need to wait until 9/26/2022.
Time Off:
· Due 9/8/2022 at 5:00 PM EST:
o Submit requests to your manager through PeopleSoft Absence Management through 1/1/2023 for time off.
o Managers must approve these requests by 9/9/2022 at 5:00 PM EST
o All requests that are submitted after 9/8/2022 will not carry over into Workday and will need to be resubmitted. You will be able to resume submitting time off requests in Workday beginning 9/26/2022.
o Any time off from 9/9/2022 through 9/25/2022 will be entered into Workday after go-live.
Time Submission:
· Due by 9/22/2022 at 5:00 PM EST:
o Enter and submit all time in PeopleSoft for the 9/12/2022 - 9/25/2022 period.
o The timekeeper will add the time you anticipate working for the full day 9/22/2022 as well as from 9/23/2022-9/25/2022. Please ensure you communicate with your supervisor and timekeeper if your regular schedule will change.
Career Site
· Due by 9/7/2022 at 5:00 PM EST:
o Applications for any positions posted on the current job board in PeopleSoft.
o The job posting board in PeopleSoft will be taken down at 5:00 PM EST 9/9/2022
o Some job postings will be closed at that time. Some will be reposted in Workday 9/26/2022.
o A refreshed internal career portal will be available in Workday 9/26/2022
o We encourage you to check out the current job openings and apply if interested.
All employees will be impacted by Workday and have a crucial role in our transition. Please review and complete the above actions.
