This is an Social Emotional Learning program that we are implementing this school year. Next week we all grades will start with two weeks of a KINDNESS KICKOFF. Attached you will find more information and ways you can help at home.
IREADY
Most of our 1st and 2nd grade students tested in IREADY this week in reading and math. We still have some that need to finish next week. This will help us plan how to grow or help your child. Once all students have tested we will send the results home. Below you can read more information about the assessment.

Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports Information
Families can help us by, encouraging good behavior and following these expectations of your child. This week we have practiced each of the common areas. We will continue to practice as we move forward but we will be introducing a lot more content next week.
How Can I Help My Child At Home?
Each grade has a list of HEART Words (sight words) that they are expected to know by the end of that grade. These are words you have to remember by heart because they don't follow normal patterns. You can work with your child to see if they can master all of these words.
Ideas:
Create flash cards
Make a bingo board and use these words
Play Memory or Tic Tac Toe with the words
Make a hopskotch game with words
