1. What do you see when you compare the three maps of Europe from the Middle Ages, the Renaissance and the 20 th century? Which is the most important difference?

2. Focus your attention on the last picture. What do you think the artist was trying to say about the European Union using this technique? What are the similarities and differences between this image and the three maps of Europe you looked at before?
