Ministry of Education of UAE has issued a Ministerial Resolution No. 5 2021, regarding updated age cut-off for all students entering KG1, KG2 and Grade 1 starting from next school year.

We at GAA are exploring opening a Pre-K here for 3-4 year olds. This Pre-K model would have the same length of day as KG (7:30-2:15pm) with a modified, developmentally appropriate schedule (e.g. built-in nap time, etc). There would be flexibility to pick up students at an earlier time, if a parent chooses. Our curriculum would encompass our KG play-based philosophy with the American Common Core Standards.

A fee structure is currently being developed, and we expect it to be lower than KG fees.

Dear Parents,

As we look ahead, we would like to inform you of the re-enrollment process at GAA. We are happy to inform you that re-enrollment will open on February 11, 2021.

What is re-enrollment?

Re-enrollment or Re-registration is your opportunity to let us know whether your child/children will be returning to GAA for the next academic year.

In order to secure a student’s continued place at GEMS American Academy- Abu Dhabi for the following academic year, an online re-enrollment form must be completed via GEMS Parent Portal along with a paid deposit of 5% of the school fees by 1st May of each academic year. This deposit is non-refundable should a student not take up the confirmed place in September, but is fully adjustable against the first term fees. The deposit may be paid online with a credit card, in person at the school accounts office or via bank wire transfer.

Please note that the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) issues the guidelines regarding the admission and re-enrollment processes for private schools in Abu Dhabi.

How to re-enrol your child/children:

• Log into the GEMS Parent Portal using your parent username by following this link: https://oasis.gemseducation.com/ or log onto the GEMS Connect app on your phone.

• If you have forgotten your password, you may reset it by clicking on the Forgot Password option in the top right-hand corner of your screen. For new families this option can also be used to create a password.

• Please complete the entire re-enrolment process for each child. Re-enrollment Parent User Guide

• If you would like to pay at the school cashier’s office, please complete the online process before proceeding.

Important things to remember:

• Change of circumstance - If your personal circumstances change after paying the re-enrolment fee, and you cannot take your 2021-2022 place due to leaving Abu Dhabi, you can request a refund of these fees in keeping with the policy of the relevant regulatory authority (ADEK)

• More than one child - This needs to be completed for all children in your family, this is not a ‘family re-enrolment’, and each student needs to be re-enrolled individually.

• Not re-enrolling - If you are not re-enrolling for September, this process still needs to be completed, as this is what will prompt a Transfer Certificate to be generated. A Transfer Certificate may be required by your new school, and is a required process when leaving our school.

• Unregistered children, as well as, children with an outstanding tuition fee balance, will not be able to begin class next academic year.

• Facility to pay by credit card is made available. You can avail fee discounts by paying the whole years’ fees using your FAB GEMS Co Brand Credit Card.

• IMPORTANT!: Coordinate with FAB representative to ensure FAB records GAA tuition payment transaction(s) with the "12 months 0% Easy Payment Plan and no processing fee." Alternatively text "EPP" to number 2121 and FAB representative will be contacting you to arrange for Easy Payment Plan.

Terms & Conditions:

• Discount scheme is based on fixed rate percentage on tuition fee paid in advance according to the above calendar of fee cycle using the FAB GEMS Titanium Credit card only.

• The discount is applicable only if minimum of one term tuition Fee is paid in advance and can avail for a maximum of one Academic year.

• Any outstanding fees must be paid in full before being eligible for the fee discount

• The discount is based on the current fee structure. Should any revision to the fee structure be approved by the regulatory authority at a later date, the difference shall be payable by the cardholder.

• In case of any refunds, the official refund policy will be applied and the discount already granted will be adjusted accordingly.

• The discount is applied on the net tuition Fee after concession/reduction, if any.

Here's how it works

• Click HERE to log in to the GEMS parent portal or login to the GEMS Rewards app or to the GEMS Connect app, and submit your referral.

• Your friend will receive an email with a link to complete an application for their child.

• Receive your GEMS Points once your friend’s child has successfully enrolled and settled.

Our way of saying Thank You

For each new student that is successfully enrolled in any participating GEMS school, upon your referral, we will give you 4% of the referred child's annual tuition fees as GEMS Points. These points can be used to pay your child’s tuition fees or transport fees.

Example

Mrs. Smith has three children at Dubai American Academy (DAA). She referred her friend Sarah to GEMS World Academy Dubai (GWA) based on the positive experience that she had at DAA. Her friend Sarah successfully enrolled her two children at GWA in Grades 6 and 8. Mrs. Smith will now receive GEMS Points equivalent to AED 7,419 which can be used to pay her children's school fees or transport fees.

Terms & Conditions

1. The referred child should not currently be attending a GEMS school.

2. For each referred child successfully enrolled you will receive 4% of that child's annual tuition fees as GEMS Points, which can be used to pay your child's tuition fees or transport fees at your current school. The referred children cannot be from the same family.

3. The referrer must be a parent with a child or children already attending in a GEMS school.

4. Referrals have to be submitted online prior to registration & admission.

5. Referral rewards are paid once:

   1. 1. Per successful admission.

      2. Once 1st term tuition fees have been settled.

      3. The student has attended school for at least 2 weeks.

6. Referral rewards are not applicable for siblings of existing GEMS students.

7. Referral rewards are not applicable for students transferring school within the GEMS network.

8. Multiple referrals of the same student will be rewarded on a first referral – first reward basis.

9. Referred friends with children already attending a GEMS school do not qualify for this discount.

10. Referrals must be for families without children at any GEMS school.

11. GEMS Points cannot be transferred to others.

12. Referral admissions are subject to the school admission & assessment policies & procedures.

13. GEMS reserves the right to withdraw or change the terms of the promotion.
