Dear GAA Families,

I hope that you are healthy and well.

On Friday, April 22, to end the school day, the entire GAA student body came together to recognize our Class of 2022 at the annual Senior Walk. Students lined the school hallways in each division as the Senior Class paraded in their graduation caps and gowns to the chant of Seniors! Seniors!

It was an emotional time for many parents, teachers and fellow students as they watched the Class of 2022 together as a group for the last time.

The congratulatory cheers and applause were mixed with some tears. There were tears of sadness at saying goodbye, and tears of happiness from teachers and parents showing an appreciation for all the accomplishments and hard work of the graduates.

As I watched the activity, I was drawn to the excitement of our youngest learners. They saw the Seniors as role models and the activity filled me with hope that by continuing to highlight aspirational student academic, athletic, and artistic achievements we will create a culture where all students have a desire to give to their school community and find pathways to succeed.

The GAA community has been enriched by the class of 2022. As Secondary Principal Mr. Klinkhammer, and High School Vice Principal Ms. Lumpkins, pointed out to parents and students, all the experiences both good and challenging while at GAA have led to confident young adults ready for the next stage in their lives.

It was a special honor to have parents of the graduates back on campus to share the moment, and we look forward to a successful exam and end of course project period as we head toward the May graduation date.

I wish all community members continued peace during this Holy Month of Ramadan.

We are thrilled that we can now gather as a Community, following the reduced precautionary measures by Abu Dhabi government. We would like to take this opportunity to invite you to GAA Parent Association (GAAPA) Annual General Meeting (AGM):

AGM is typically held once a year by GAA Parent Association to enlighten our Community about activities and the financial status of GAAPA for the academic year. We were unable to hold it in the past two years due to COVID-19 restrictions.

During the upcoming meeting you will find out about:

• 2020-2021 and 2021-2022 school years’ activities organized/supported by GAAPA

• Year-end financial status of GAAPA

• GAAPA Elections for 2022-2023 academic year - with COVID restrictions beginning to lift, we are expecting an awesome year for our GAA community! GAAPA is a great opportunity to get involved in your school community and get to know other parents. Please consider sharing your talents and experience. نحيطكم علمًا بأنه قد تم إجراء الامتحانات الوزارية لطلبة الصّف الثّاني عشر في مادتي اللّغة العربيّة في ٢١ من أبريل ٢١، والتّربيّة الإسلامية في٢٧ من أبريل ٢٠٢٢، كما قد قام أساتذة المواد بإزسال كافة المعلومالت للطّلاب وأولياء الأمور عبر البريد الإلكتروني.

كما نرجو من أولياء الأمور عدم التّردد في التّواصل معنا في حال وجود أي سؤال أو استفسار.

Dear GAA Parents,

On behalf of the Arabic staff at GAA, we would like to extend our greetings in the upcoming celebration of Eid Al Fitr Al Mubarak to all of you.

We are very proud of our students to participate in sending Eid greetings to all of their friends and families, and they will fill our hearts with happiness and pride.

We want to extend our thanks to all parents for their feedback and support. It was very beneficial to build these bridges between us to offer the best learning environment for our students.

Similarly, we helped our students to make an everyday connection in all subjects through many activities, initiatives, and celebrations.

We are proud of our students participating in many activities and initiatives to practice and apply what they have learned, and we proudly observed their improvement.
