It has been a joy to welcome back students. We missed them. I hope you had a safe and restful spring break.

It is an exciting term for Kindergarten as we prepare for the KG2 promotion to Grade One and celebrate KG1’s first year of school! Students will be buddying up with classes to visit as they prepare for the next grade level. Continue to engage in discussions with your child about moving to a new class next year, making new friends and getting to know different teachers. Students will also be busy inquiring into their final units and setting personalized learning goals.

We look forward to a successful and engaging final school term.

A big hello from us all in KG1B. We have been super busy over the past couple of months engaging in our third Unit of Inquiry – How We Express Ourselves. The students have been learning about feelings and emotions and have been exploring a variety of resources to express themselves. Students have become more self-aware of their emotions and their communication skills to recognize the meaning of visual and kinesthetic communication.

Ms. Alison came in to work with our class during our UOI. We worked on our communication skills, social skills and self-management skills.

We also had lots of fun participating in Book Character Day. We dressed up as some of our favorite characters from the stories we love. Take a look at some of our costumes below!
